NEW for Winter 2009/2010

11/17/09

We hope you’ve been enjoying our recent improvements like the Lakeview Lift, the Bear Chair, the Bears Den and the delightful corduroy crafted by our new fleet of Prinoth grooming cats.

We’ve had lots of compliments on our beginner terrain park on Jammer, and we plan to add even more features to the park on Rodeo this season.

This year, we’re sprucing things up both on and off the mountain. Outside, it should be easier than ever to enjoy your turns, whether off-trail or on the groomed runs.

Engen Extended

engenThe most noteworthy change is the extension of one of our most popular intermediate runs, Engen.

The bottom of the run has been extended right down to the bottom of the Centennial and Bear Chairs, so you’ll no longer need to ‘ride a flat’ to get from top to bottom of that part of the mountain!

Divine Powder Linesdivine

Our growing crew of tree skiers and riders are sure to notice the extensive brush cutting that took place over the summer. More than 15 acres of brush has been cleared in areas around Meadow Bowl, Ranger Trail, and between the Blue Bird Quad and Alpine. That means those powder lines will be longer, wider and more spectacular than ever before! These on-mountain improvements are designed to give visitors more options for fall-line skiing and decrease the need to ‘ride the flats’ to navigate the mountain.

Frequent visitors will also notice the crisp new paint job on the terminals and towers of the Blue Bird Quad.

Take a Break in Comfort

lillodgepaintsnowWhen you’re off the slopes, you’ll notice the improvements to the main lodge immediately. The new paint job is the most obvious change. We choose natural tones to blend in with the mountain scenery. We’ve also replaced the roof with an environmentally friendly new surface. Inside, improvements to Smoky’s Pub are underway and expected to be finished by early December. These changes will not only create a more comfortable, cozy atmosphere, but should help improve the speed and quality of our service.

lilouthouseFor those who want to take a break without heading to the lodge, we’ve added two new ‘log cabin’ outhouses for your convenience. One is located near the base of the Blue Bird quad and the other is in the area near the base of the Bear Chair and Centennial chairlifts.

Convenience at your fingertips

giftcardiconWe’re also excited to tell you about some new guest conveniences. Not only can you buy our new Gift Cards and swipe them for purchases at any point of sale on the mountain, but you’ll also be able to purchase Brundage Bucks and load them onto your season pass. That means you can focus on exploring every inch of the Best Snow in IdahoTM – without worrying about having cash on hand to buy a snack or pay for other mountain services.
