Brundage Caters to Spring Break Crowds with Fantastic Events and FREE Skiing for Kids!

03/20/11

Inspired by a bounty of fresh snowfall, Brundage Mountain is offering two full weekends of family-friendly events for Spring Break, including two days when kids can ski for FREE.

Brundage Mountain will kick off the local Spring Break period with its 3rd Annual O-Wimp-Ic Games, Saturday, March 26, and Celebrate Family Day on Sunday, March 27th.

The O-Wimp-Ic Games is open to all ages and abilities and features a free obstacle-course that you’ll want to do it over and over.

On Celebrate Family Day, Brundage Mountain treats Moms and Kids 17 & Under to FREE lift tickets.

Brundage Mountain’s annual spring fling takes place April 2 & 3rd. Brundage hosts Pond Skimming, the resort’s most popular event of the year, on Saturday, April 2.

Other Crazy Daze favorites include the Costume Contest, Treasure Hunt, Poker Run, Kids Pinata Party, afternoon Rail Jam and live music!

Sunday, April 3rd is “Gimme a Break” Day. Kids 17 & under are invited to ski or ride for free in honor of Spring Break.

More details on each event are available at: www.brundage.com/event-calendar/

While Brundage Mountain is embracing the spirit of springtime, the ski area is enjoying some of the best winter snow conditions of the year.

Brundage Mountain received 53 inches of fresh snowfall during the first 20 days of March. As of March 20th, the base depth measures 92 inches and the summit depth is 116 inches.

Updated snow totals and depths are available at: www.brundage.com/the-mountain/snow-report/

“We’ve had some of the best powder days of the entire season in the past few weeks,” said resort spokesperson, April Russell. “And we’re optimistic that we’ll be able to extend our season once again this year.”

Brundage Mountain expects to operate seven days a week through Sunday, April 10th, then move to weekend-only operations for as long as snow conditions permit.

“The past several years, we’ve been able to offer Bonus Weekends all the way into the month of May,” added Russell. “One of these years, we’d like to see if we can make it to June.”
