Update: ALL Mountain Biking Trails to Open Friday!
We have some exciting news to share – thanks to a nice, long streak of warm, sunny days, we can now open ALL of our downhill mountain biking trails!
The melt-off has really kicked in to high gear these last couple of weeks, and most of our trail system will be completely clear or snow when the Blue Bird Quad fires on this Friday.
Here’s the scoop:
Elk Trail will be OPEN. But, there’s a little catch. A 30-foot stretch of this 7 mile trail is still covered in several feet of snow. That means riders will need to dismount and walk their bikes over this short, shady stretch of trail. Our crews are building ‘steps’ into the snowbank to make it a little bit safer, and the other 6.9999 miles of trail are completely clear.
Growler will be OPEN.
Black Bear Loop will be OPEN.
That means all of our GREEN (Easier) and BLUE (More Difficult) trails will be available.
UPDATE: All of our BLACK (Most Difficult) trails will also be open. Zorro and High Voltage are clear. We are opening Hidden Valley to expert riders, but there are many patches of snow remaining on that trail. Riders should be prepared to dismount and walk any snow covered sections.
We also have a brand-new fleet of Giant Downhill Mountain bikes available for rent. Our friendly Bike Shop staff is eager to help set you up with the perfect bike and also to help you find the right trails to maximize your gravity-fed fun.
Lifts are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm, so pump up those fat tires and come see us soon!
