Inversion Therapy

01/27/17

blue-sky-corduroy-sculpture-078014It happens EVERY winter. We get a nice run of big snowstorms and then the high pressure system brings in ‘The Inversion’. While some areas nearby dread the inversion conditions because of the stubborn fog layer they deliver, we almost usually see the opposite effect at Brundage Mountain.

Up here between 5,840 and 7,640 feet elevation, we are almost always ‘above the fog’ during inversions. AND, we tend to benefit from the flip-flop temperatures with some really comfortable (but not TOO warm) weather.

So the next time you hear the forecasters moaning about the inversion, don’t drop your head. Tilt that chin toward the sky and head uphill for some INVERSION THERAPY.
