Gaining Ground
Each new blast of fresh snow we’ve had since opening has allowed us to groom and open more terrain. Today, the Lakeview Lift opened for expert powder skiing and riding. For our happy Hump Day visitors, it was like hitting the ‘reset’ button with a whole new set of fresh powder lines there for the taking.
Lakeview Powder
The opening of Lakeview is always a treat as we get the chance to take in some of our favorite views.
When the Lakeview Bowl is coated in snow, I always feel like I’m in my own, personal snow globe.
Today, we were also able to groom North for the first time. Engen and Alpine have not been groomed as of yet, but we have a storm headed our way and forecasters tell us we could see another 6-12″ inches by Friday morning. We are looking to groom more runs (and hopefully open Hidden Valley) just as soon as conditions permit.
More Tantalizing News:
In the meantime, we’re set to open some fresh amenities in time for the weekend. The Centennial Lift will be added to the lineup starting Friday. That means we plan to have all five chairlifts in action every day from December 16 through January 2.
We’ll also be opening our new adults-only Upper Lot Pub on the third floor of the lodge on Friday, along with our all-ages Main Street Market & Eatery. The Bears Den is set to open for the holiday period on Saturday, offering hot lunches, snacks and drinks at mid-mountain. We also have an appetizing new menu and a new layout in Smoky’s Bar & Grill. Head up and check out all we have to offer both on and off the mountain!
