Freshies: Day 5 (and counting???)

12/23/13

Monday 052003Fresh snow is falling on Brundage Mountain for the fifth straight day, making for soft, carvable slopes all over the mountain.

I didn’t manage to get out on the hill until late today, but it didn’t seem to matter too much. One inch of snow fell overnight and the second inch fell during operating hours today, so slopes remained carvalicious into the afternoon.

Monday 028001

It’s starting to look a lot more like classic ‘winter break’, with trees beginning to transform into ‘snow ghosts’, and with smaller humans here than we would otherwise see on a weekday.

Monday 056004

It looks like we could see another 1-3 inches of fresh snow overnight. After that, the sun is expected to break through and stay with us for the rest of the week. One more reason to head up tomorrow – for fresh turns and family time on Christmas Eve.
