Born in 2015, the Sisters in Songwriting organization built its foundation upon gathering together in private settings to have mini songwriting salons, meet new songwriters, woodshed, gather inspiration and “jam”. These grass roots gatherings eventually led to small club “songwriters in the round” performances. SIS was approached in late 2016 by Idaho Songwriters Association to present concert performances at high profile listening venues around Boise Idaho. These concerts support women and their craft as they network, collaborate and celebrate each other through music

She is also a music teacher for vocal and guitar at Old Boise Music Studio and is a board member of S.I.S. (Sisters in Songwriting). Emily also performs and tours with Swillbilly, a fun lovin’ country-ish band with Brook Faulk, and The Pearl Snaps, her newest collaboration with Kelly Lynae and Justin Ness.
