Brundage Cardboard Classic & Spring Party!

  •  April 11 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

The 4th annual Brundage Cardboard Classic is back and better than ever! This year in partnership with Pub Beer, we’re taking over the Base Area with 10 Barrel’s Hydration Station, beach vibes & good music. Enjoy a cold brew while watching teams compete in vessels made with only two main materials… cardboard and duct tape!

Let your imagination guide you while building the raddest cardboard vessel on the hill.

Derby Schedule:
10:30 am Register and check in your team and vessel on the plaza in front of the lodge
11:00 am Beach Zone goes live at 11am with the bar, Beer Cat, grill, and DJ Jazzy RYJO. The Cardboard Vessel judging and show kicks off (this is where those judge bribes come in handy).
12:30 pm Mandatory participant meeting in the Base Area
1:00 pm The Cardboard Classic will begin!
2:00 – 4:30 Live Music with Don Hurt

Cardboard Classic Divisions:

Youth (Up to 17)
• Solo
• Team (up to 5 people)

Adult (18+)
• Solo
• Team (up to 5 people)

Derby Rules:

  • 1. Build your vessel before the day of the event
  • 2. The vessel can be made with ONLY cardboard, duct tape, string, twine and paint
  • 3. Decorate your vessel however you like – silly decorations encouraged!
  • 4. All participants MUST wear helmets
  • 5. Each vessel may only be used by one participant or team
  • 6. Participants are responsible for the disposal of their vessels

Judging

Vessels are awarded points based on how close they hit the bull’s eye at the end of the course. This is a marathon, not a sprint! Points will also be given for creativity and enthusiasm!

Prizes may also be awarded for any of the following:

  • The Pub Beer Favorite
  • Funniest Vessel
  • Largest Vessel
  • Most Enthusiastic Competitors
  • Most Creative Vessel
  • Best Costumes
