Brundage Mountain Kicks Off Full-Time Operations with Expanded Lift Service

Stormy weather pattern brings new snow and improving conditions through the holiday

Brundage Mountain Resort is officially kicking off full-time winter operations starting Sunday, December 21, with expanded lift service and growing terrain offerings. With this transition, Brundage plans to operate seven days a week starting immediately, marking the start of its regular winter schedule for the 2025–26 season.

The Easy Street chairlift reopened Saturday (12-20), and the Bear Chair will open for the season on Sunday (12-21) with the Badger run offered as a groomed option and the Griz run open to advanced skiers.  Lifts now operate daily from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Mountain Operations team continues to make careful, hour-by-hour assessments of conditions across the mountain and will continue to open additional lifts and terrain as soon as safely possible.

“We’re firmly in a stormy weather pattern right now, and that’s exactly what we want to see,” said Brundage Mountain General Manager Ken Rider. “We could see up to 17 inches of new snow between now and Wednesday, followed by a colder system arriving just in time for Christmas morning.”

Forecast models indicate that a cold front will move into the region overnight Dec. 24, bringing colder snow and improved snow quality. Between Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve, Brundage could receive up to 24 inches of additional snowfall, setting the stage for continued terrain expansion and improved slope conditions through the holiday period.

Lift tickets are just $30 for access to both Bear Chair and Easy Street. As lift service and terrain offerings increase in the coming days, lift ticket pricing will be adjusted accordingly.

Guests are encouraged to check the Brundage Snow Report page regularly for the latest information on open lifts, terrain, operating hours and current lift ticket pricing, as conditions may change quickly during active storm cycles.

Holiday events remain on schedule, including a visit from Santa Claus on Christmas Day and the annual Light Up the Night Celebration on New Year’s Eve.
