Brundage Celebrates New Leaders
At Brundage Mountain Resort, our people are the heart of what makes the guest experience truly special. We believe that investing in great leaders is essential to building strong, motivated teams. From operations and guest services to sustainability and storytelling, each of these new and elevated team members brings unique skills, fresh ideas, and a passion for mountain life.
We’re proud to introduce the newest additions to our leadership team—each one helping shape the future of Brundage in meaningful ways:
Brett Johnson – Director of Marketing & Sales
Brett Johnson brings a deep-rooted passion for visual storytelling and the outdoors to his new role as Director of Marketing & Sales at Brundage Mountain Resort. Brett joined Brundage in 2022 as a Content and Marketing Manager and quickly embraced the dynamic nature of the ski industry.
Brett has quickly gained new marketing skills and knowledge, along with a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of Brundage Mountain’s guests. That, along with his ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, made him a natural choice for the Director position.
A Boise native, Brett earned his BA in Mass Communication/Journalism from Boise State University, where he focused on photo and video production, leading to a freelance career in outdoor tourism media.
He values the opportunity to tell the story of such a special place and honor its legacy through his work.
“Did I mention that the mountain is the most beautiful canvas to create art of? I may not get behind the lens as often anymore, but every time I look at the mountain I feel inspired.”
Rachelle Leishman – Executive Administrator & Sustainability Manager
Rachelle Leishman combines her administrative expertise with a profound commitment to environmental stewardship in her dual role at Brundage Mountain Resort. Holding a Bachelor’s in Public and Environmental Health and a Master of Science in Sustainability, Rachelle has managed programs in healthcare, led safety initiatives, and coordinated community outreach efforts.
Her passion for sustainability has become a way of life for Rachelle. At Brundage, she applies her many skills to spearhead sustainability efforts like Brundage Mountain’s new greenhouse gas inventories. She’s also a key partnership builder – whether those collaborations are between departments at Brundage or with other organizations and entities in the community. Living on a homestead in Pollock with her husband, Rachelle embodies the principles she advocates, engaging in gardening, baking, and outdoor adventures.
“This role at Brundage allows me to take everything I’ve learned—and everything I care deeply about—and apply it in real time to protect a place I love. Working at a ski resort adds a sense of urgency and relevancy to this work, as we are already seeing the impacts of climate change on snowpack, fire seasons, and overall mountain operations. I feel an immense responsibility not only to protect our mountain environment but to help Brundage become a leader in climate action in the outdoor recreation space.”
Kendall Paisley – IT Manager

Kendall brings more than 15 years of hands-on experience in the tech industry to his role as IT Manager. Kendall’s tech journey started with his service in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division, where he supported both computer and radio systems. Since then, he’s grown through the ranks from a Level 1 hardware technician to managing complex networking and IT projects in the private sector. Kendall’s well-rounded background makes him a strong asset to the resort as we continue to invest in new technologies and systems.
Kendall was drawn to Brundage not only for the role but for the people behind it. “I’ve never been more excited to help grow such a community as this one,” he says. “The culture at Brundage feels more like a family than a company, and that was the number one consideration for me.”
His leadership style reflects the resort’s independent spirit. He thrives in dynamic environments and is excited about the opportunities that come with working for a locally owned resort. “There’s a level of flexibility and collaboration here that’s hard to find,” Kendall says. “I’m really looking forward to making this the best experience possible—not just for our guests, but for the entire Brundage team.”
When he’s not fine-tuning our tech systems, you’ll find Kendall enjoying all that McCall has to offer. A passionate snowboarder, skateboarder, and fisherman, Kendall lives in the heart of town with his dog, Pacha. Whether he’s at the local skatepark or out on the lake, he lives by a simple motto: “Never a bad day on a mountain.”
Jamie Grimston – Employee Services Manager
Jamie Grimston returned to Brundage Mountain Resort this season as Employee Services Manager, bringing a wealth of experience from the hospitality industry. Jamie’s background includes work as a human resources coordinator at a top Chicago hotel, in addition to several years of contributing to and leading HR teams in the ski resort business.
Jamie thrives in dynamic environments where no two days are the same. “My passion is empowering employees, and when leadership gives you the space to be authentically yourself while succeeding, that positive energy radiates throughout the entire organization.”
Since moving to Valley County in 2021, Jamie has embraced the community’s spirit, weaving herself into the fabric of local life. An improving skier who had never hit the slopes before arriving at Brundage, she appreciates the supportive environment that has helped her grow both personally and professionally.
Alexa Stanley – Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager
Alexa brings six years of hands-on culinary experience, sharpened by her time in fast-paced kitchens like Lucky Fins, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, the Arid Club, and most recently as Kitchen Manager at Jug Mountain Ranch. With a background in business and a start in dietary and fast-food management, Alexa blends operational expertise with a passion for creativity in the kitchen—making her a perfect fit for this leadership role.
Alexa is especially excited to join a dynamic and dedicated team focused on innovation and hospitality. “I’m excited to cook delicious food and bring joy to people through what we serve every day.”
Being part of an independently owned ski resort is a meaningful step for Alexa. She values the chance to make a direct impact and work closely with a close-knit crew. “I enjoy being a leader at an independently owned resort because it allows me to implement new ideas and grow alongside a passionate community.”
Alexa lives in McCall with her husband Nolan, their son Wayne, and two dogs, Jazzy and Chili. The whole family embraces the mountain lifestyle—snowboarding, hiking, snowshoeing, and staying active in both the hockey and ski scenes. “The slower pace and strong sense of community here are just what we were looking for,” she says. “Plus, the natural beauty is hard to beat.” 2024/25 was Alexa’s first season snowboarding at Brundage, and we’re excited to have her carving fresh lines both on the slopes and in our kitchens.
Heidi Schneider – Real Estate Operations Manager
Heidi Schneider steps into the role of Real Estate Operations Manager at Brundage Mountain Resort with 10 years of experience in the development field. Heidi, who also holds a real estate license, earned a degree in Communications from Humboldt State University. Heidi’s background helps her stay focused and nimble when things change. “There are always new challenges in development and learning to navigate them is the driving factor for success.”
“My favorite thing about working at Brundage is the opportunity to follow through on a vision that will shape the future of a mountain that so many people love. Brundage Mountain’s size and independent status means I get to work directly with the visionaries themselves, which creates efficiency and great outcomes.”
Living in McCall with her husband and two children, Heidi is actively involved in the community, serving on the Valley County Planning and Zoning Commission. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, and indulging her love for cooking.
Brittany Dunn – Financial Reporting Manager
Brittany Dunn brings her accounting expertise to Brundage Mountain Resort as the Financial Reporting Manager. Her past work introduced her to a wide range of accounting principles, allowing her to understand how individual financial components contribute to the overall picture of a company.
Now focusing on financial reporting, Brittany appreciates the opportunity to dive deeper into that specific area of accounting.
“The camaraderie at an independently owned ski resort is unmatched – work feels more fun when you’re surrounded by like-minded folks!”
A snowboarder who enjoys the variety of terrain at Brundage, she has always dreamed of moving to McCall.
“I’m from a small town and feel most at home in similar settings. I love McCall for its abundant outdoor opportunities, the beautiful lake, and, of course, the fact that most of my family lives here – it’s definitely a bonus!”
Now living her dream, Brittany takes full advantage of the area’s outdoor opportunities with her dog, Ruca by her side.
“I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know all the incredible people who make Brundage such a special place. The camaraderie at an independently owned ski resort is unmatched – work feels more fun when you’re surrounded by like-minded folks!”
