Are you ready to "Rock"???

10/19/10

When you think of rockered skis and snowboards, you probably think of powder. In recent years, we’ve seen more gear come onto the market with a more exaggerated rise at the tip and tail. But this new technology is not only making its way to the groomed runs, it’s made its way into the mainstream rental market. Brundage Mountain has upgraded it’s entire rental fleet with new Rossignol Avenger 74 skis and a variety of ‘rockered’ Rossignol snowboards.

Here’s a video that shows the new skis and how they work.

Here’s a link to another video that explains the advantages of rocker and camber to beginners, all-mountain skiers, park and pipe riders and of course, powder hounds.

The following article by Peter Kray explains how “While the camber delivers power and grip, the rocker provides easier steering and more forgiveness.”

Snowsports professionals think these skis and boards will help riders of all styles reach the next level more quickly and easily. Read the article below to understand this amazing new tool, and be sure to stop by our rental shop this season and try them out for yourself. – April
