It’s been a DAZZLING day on the mountain today.

So many precious hidden treasures revealed themselves, it’s almost harder to count them than it was to find them.

The brilliant blue skies were a great start, not to mention the sweet, sugary turns that are still out there for those willing to explore.

I didn’t have to work too hard to find these fresh lines, and frankly, it was a pleasure to explore today as the sun sparkled off the snow like thousands of tiny diamonds.

These may not be the steepest, most sought after lines on the mountain, but the snow was smooth, soft and much deeper than I’d expected.

Surface hoar at its best and most brilliant…

Another eight-turn treasure, all for me…

And…another pearly white delight.

The sky was as blue as can be and the corduroy was spectacular.

Beautiful little treasures everywhere you look, shimmering in the mid-winter sunlight.

The Salmon River Mountains sparkling in the distance…

The Seven Devils framed by arches of green…

A peek-a-boo view of another glimmering gem, Granite Mountain.

It may not be the bounty we haul in on a deep powder day, but today, the treasure was brilliant, and there for the taking.
