A Ground-Breaking First!
Even the most dedicated ski bums don’t often get the chance to break new ground. A new chairlift can afford the opportunity to be the ‘first’ on an out-of-the-way run. Hearty skiers can hike their way into virgin terrain and claim their ‘first’ tracks on a slope.
So we’re extra excited to announce a ‘first’ for our backcountry SnowCat program. Our first-ever marriage proposal (and acceptance) happened yesterday on the top of Granite Mountain!
What makes this ‘first’ even more special is that the couple has been part of the Brundage Mountain family for several years.
You may recognize Traci from her years in our Guest Services office.
Michael is becoming a familiar face this season as the ‘maze master’ at the bottom of the BlueBird Quad.
Traci and Michael were joined by a group of good friends for a Private SnowCat trip. (Just $1600 plus tax weekdays).
It was supposed to be a ‘birthday’ event. Traci turned 35 yesterday (and several of the other skiers celebrated birthdays this month, too).
So she knew the party was in her honor, but wasn’t expecting the surprise she got as Michael dropped to one knee at the top of Granite to ask her to become his wife.
We hope you’ll join us in raising a toast to Traci and Michael’s friendship and wishing them a life full of the love and happiness they both deserve.
Cheers!

P.S. To make the day even better…the powder was fantastic.
