Brundage Mountain has a long history of supporting the community, dating back all the way to the 1960’s. A long-standing lift ticket donation program has benefited hundreds of nonprofit groups and projects over the decades. Today, Brundage is building on this legacy through new initiatives aimed at supporting our local community.
In 2023, Brundage Mountain Holdings LLC established the Brundage Mountain Community Fund (BMCF) through the Idaho Community Foundation. This fund supports local nonprofits by raising money that can be donated directly to the organizations. Key initiatives include the Good Deeds + Good Music program, launched in 2024 to raise awareness and funds for a different nonprofit during each of Brundage’s weekly summer concerts.
The Annual Giving Program invites nonprofits to apply for funding starting in early 2025, with awards announced each spring or summer. In 2024, the fund’s first major donation of $10,000 went to the Mehen Memorial Skate Park in New Meadows.
Brundage encourages employee volunteerism by offering up to eight hours of paid leave for full-time employees to volunteer with local nonprofits. Many team members also serve in leadership roles across a wide range of community organizations. Team Brundage comes together each spring to participate in a roadside cleanup along Highway 55.
Being part of a small, close-knit community allows Brundage to offer support in numerous ways, from loaning bikes to youth programs to providing free lift access for graduate student research. In February 2024, Brundage jumped at the chance to host the Little Ski Hill After-School Program during a snow shortage, ensuring 200+ local kids could continue ski lessons until snow returned to lower elevations.
“As we visualize what a vibrant and sustainable future looks like at Brundage Mountain, community partnerships are a key part of that picture,” says Brundage Mountain General Manager, Ken Rider. “Our goal is to keep our minds and hearts open and on the lookout for ways we can help support the community.”
