Brundage Mountain Welcomes Chef Sam Hess to the Resort’s Culinary Team, Introduces Other Key Players in New Roles
Brundage Mountain Resort is excited to welcome Sam Hess as the resort’s new Executive Chef.
Hess brings 20 years of experience to the position. Sam is trained in the classic French style and has honed his culinary craft over the years by working in award-winning kitchens in New Orleans and Orlando. Hess has trained under Emeril Legasse, among other James Beard award winners, and has developed original restaurant concepts in Texas and the Bahamas. In recent years, Sam has been at the helm of some of Central Idaho’s finest restaurants.
Chef Hess’ talents and experience with many different cuisines will bring a fresh take to the expanding culinary offerings at Brundage Mountain Resort and Brundage Mountain Catering.
Brundage Mountain is also excited to welcome Tom Owen as Accounting and Finance Manager. Tom earned a Masters Degree in Accounting at Gonzaga University in Spokane and has worked for several top accounting firms around the globe, including his most recent role working in Switzerland at KPMG.
Brundage is excited to welcome Karl Sanderson as the resort’s new Terrain Park Manager. Sanderson’s vast ski industry background spans many roles and four continents. He’s held terrain park management positions in the Austrian Alps and has a long history as a snowcat operator in Europe, Australia, and South America in addition to Alaska, Colorado and California.
Brundage would also like to acknowledge Michael Hayes, who has worked in group sales and marketing for the past seven years, and is taking on a new role as Event Manager. Hayes has spent his career in a variety of roles in both the golf and ski industries and will bring an intimate knowledge of Brundage Mountain operations and the local community to his new position.
