Cold Smoke Ignites a New Spark

02/07/11

NEW SNOW NEW SNOW NEW SNOW NEW SNOW NEW SNOW NEW SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

2″ in the last 48 hours has rekindled spirits and the slopes here at the mountain.  After a short dry spell with little accumulated snow, passions and smiles where reborn today.

If you have been up the mountain in the past couple of weeks you enjoyed the high quality groomed runs but you may have noticed that off trail skiing has not been living up to its full potential.  A crust formed and skiers/boarders packed out the slopes.  2″ of new snow has given new life, the crust has partially broken down and some soft smooth turns can be found in the trees once again.

The groomed runs are also showing a spark of new life with snow accumulation on the smooth cord surface.  Runs groomed last night especially had a wonderful feel to them after being blanketed in soft white blower powder.

The dry spell is over, and who else to deliver but Brundage Mountain!!

See you all soon.
