This is dedicated to the sentinel guardians of the mountain, the trees.   These natural forms of splendor and majestic beauty deserve recognition, not just as objects to avoid while sliding down the mountain, but as the wonders they truly are.  This is a tribute to these spectacles of perfection, the silent observers of our recreation and to remind us to slow down and to give notice to the natural world that surrounds us.  So I ask you, please turn off your i-pod, hang up your cell phone and ponder for a second these magnificent giants.

So next time you are cruising through the trees stop and take a look around… because you never know what you will find.
