Tails on Trails

  •  October 7, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Enjoy Brundage Mountain with your whole family, even your dog! This dog-friendly trail running event benefitting MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter starts at 9 am and is followed by Oktoberfest at Alpine Village. Our 3rd Annual race will be a single 5K fun run this year.

Run the race, and then head over to Alpine Village for some cold brews and delicious grub!  Both events benefit the cats and dogs at MCPAWS!

This is a dog-friendly running event – run with or without a dog. Well-socialized and well-conditioned dogs are welcome. Runners without dogs must be aware of and courteous to the dogs who are participating; this is, after all, a benefit for MCPAWS. Dogs may run off leash during the race, but please be aware there is wildlife in the forest you will be running through, so if your dog does not have excellent recall, you should use a leash. There will be water bowls for the dogs at the aid stations.

Route Descriptions & Registration

The course is 3.2 mile loop of dirt cat track road and single track through the lower half of Brundage Mountain Resort.  The course is a fun, scenic, and undulating.  Dogs will enjoy two natural watering holes as the course crosses two creeks.  The first is just passed the mid-way point and the second is towards the end of the course around mile 2.5.  Racers will gain a total of 549 ft. before heading back down to the base area finish line.
