Snowmaking equipment has been operating at the Activity Barn since temperatures dropped a week and a half ago and an additional 4-6 inches of natural snow blanketed the valley this week. That has allowed crews to build the first of up to six 800-foot snow tubing lanes.

Tickets range from $15 to $18 for a two-hour tubing session. The Activity Barn has undergone some big improvements this year, including a remodeled ticket office, new outdoor deck, a large event tent with propane heaters and a new snack shack serving a wider variety of hot food items, snacks and drinks.

The Activity Barn’s regular hours are Fridays from 4 – 8 pm, Saturdays from 10 am – 8 pm and Sundays from noon to 4 pm. The Activity Barn will be open every day during Winter Break, which runs from December 16 through January 2.

More tubing lanes and a snowshoeing/fat biking/cross country trail will open as soon as snow conditions permit.
