Got a friend with a rig? You can ride the new 6.4-mile B2BB trail from the Brundage Bike Park to Bear Basin and hop an easy ride back up!

You can make this 12-mile ride a breeze by taking the Bluebird Express chairlift to the Brundage Mountain summit, then descending 1,700 vertical feet via the Rock Garden, Lakeview Vista, and B2BB trails before merging with the Bear Basin trail system.

Where to park

The BlueBird Express runs Wednesdays – Sundays from 10 am – 4:30 pm.

We suggest leaving a vehicle at the West Face Parking Lot, which is 4.5 miles from McCall on the north side of Hwy 55. (44°56’54.59″N, 116°10’4.06″W)

From there, it’s an easy right turn back on to Hwy 55, and a 4 mile paved drive up Goose Lake Road back to Brundage. Easy!

Who do I call for emergencies?

If a serious injury occurs on the Brundage to Bear Basin Trail, please call 911 immediately. The B2BB trail is on Forest Service land outside the Brundage Mountain boundary. Brundage Mountain Patrol can only respond to calls in the Brundage Bike Park.

Can I bring my E-Bike?

The Forest Service does not permit E-Bikes of any type in the Bear Basin trail system, including B2BB. E-Bikes will not be transported from the West Face Lot.

Class 1 E-Bikes are permitted in the Brundage Bike Park trails.

Is a map of the trail available?

We encourage guests taking the Brundage to Bear Basin Trail to download Avenza, Trail Forks, Strava, etc on their smart phones for an accurate digital map.

  • Give a clear warning signal when passing: call out passing on your left.
  • Always look ahead and behind when passing.
