Women’s Backcountry Clinic

  •  January 20, 2018 @ 8:00 am - January 21, 2018 @ 5:00 pm

Who:  Women skiers and snowboarders interested in backcountry travel. (*Must be confident in off-piste and treed terrain and have your own gear.)

Time:  9:00 am – 4:00 pm daily.

What: MWSC and PAC have teamed up to bring you a 2-day introductory clinic covering the basics of backcountry skiing and snowboarding. Day 1 will focus on avalanche awareness and rescue. Day 2 will focus on backcountry gear, travel, and knowledge and will entail a tour to Sargent’s Mountain. This course is perfect for women just getting into backcountry skiing and snowboarding, or those who wish to deepen their knowledge. Sign up soon because there is a 20 person limit!

Basic Ave Gear: Beacon, Shovel, probe (which is in a backpack ideally)

Travel Gear: Backcountry capable skis (have alpine touring bindings) with accompaning AT boots, or splitboard if a snowboarder. Skins

Price: MWSC Members $95. Non-Members $115
