Think Wilco\, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and My Morning Jacket\,. \n  \nCorn Mash\nCorn Mash is the band/project/collective of Bill LaVoie based out Moscow\, ID. DESCRIPTION:Snow Dirt!\nWhat is Snow Dirt? Spring storms have left Brundage Mountain with relatively solid snowpack on the upper reaches of the mountain. While we wait to ride the upper mountain bike trails\, our park crew came out of hibernation and built a terrain park on the top of Main Street.  This is a golden opportunity to get creative and have some fun! Who will show up in a Joe Dirt costume to ride the park? \nA terrain park in June\, you say?  Very interesting…We thought so too!  \nNitty gritty details:\n\nSkiing and Snowboarding is happening at Brundage Mountain on Saturday\, June 18th and Sunday\, June 19th.\nLoad the Blue Bird Express on foot at the bottom and put your skis and boards on up top.\nThe park is located at the very top of the Main Street run\, just north of the top terminal of the Blue Bird Express.\nThere is not continuous snow to the bottom\, so skiers and riders will be allowed to download on the Blue Bird lift.\n2022-2023 Winter Season pass or 2022 Summer Season pass can ride the lift at no additional costs.\nLift tickets are $20 for ages 13+ and $15 for ages 7-12. Children 6 and under are free but need a lift ticket.\n\n

SUMMARY:Youth Level 1 Avalanche Class
DESCRIPTION:This class will provide students with the knowledge needed to explore snow covered hills safely. This course follows the American Avalanche Association- Level 1 NSP Avalanche course. Students will learn how to recognize avalanche terrain\, understand factors that result in avalanches and how to mitigate risk while traveling in avalanche terrain. The course will also discuss how to use the avalanche triangle (Snow\, Weather\, Terrain) to assess the stability of the snowpack. Snow pit analysis and organized rescue will also be critical components of the course.  \n\n\nThis course is for Expert Skiers/Snowboarders. Skiers and snowboarders must have all required equipment including skis and skins\, or snowboard with split board with skins. Must be comfortable with off–piste skiing on ungroomed terrain in variable snow (deep powder\, wind packed\, etc.) and all weather conditions. Field work will be done in expert terrain.  \nParticipants will receive a Level 1 Avalanche Certification meeting AAA curriculum standards through the NSP.  \n\n\n\nClass Schedule:\n \nDecember 7 – On-line 6:30 to 9:00 PM\nDecember 9 – On-line 6:30 to 9:00 PM\nDecember 14 – On-line 6:30 to 9:00 PM\nDecember 16 – On-line 6:30 to 9:00 PM\nDecember 17 – Little Ski Hill 5:00 to 8:00 PM – Dress warm to walk around in snow. The Marathon will start at 4PM and will be 3 distinct loops climbing to Brundage’s top and using almost every inch of Brundage’s spectacular trail network. The Half marathon will start at 5pm and will be 1 big loop (first loop of Marathon)\, the 10K will start at 5:30pm and will be 1 smaller loop (2nd loop of Marathon). All races will start and finish at the Lower Parking Lot at Brundage Mountain Resort. No capacity limit on entrants.  Because there is a reasonable likelihood of finishing in the dark (marathoners only) you will need a headlamp for the final leg of the race\, and we reserve the right to add additional mandatory gear such as a jacket if the weather is threatening. These are technical and rough mountain races combining brutal off trail travel and buttery smooth singletrack trails in the tradition of the McCall racing scene. \n  \nCOVID: We expect COVID-19 to still be an issue in July\, so be ready to pull off all the stops to make the race go.
