Snowshoeing at Brundage
Skiing and snowboarding are no longer your only option for winter snowsports at Brundage Mountain. We now have a one-mile snowshoe trail in our base area to give our visitors another outdoor hobby to pursue! The best part? You can rent snowshoes right here on the mountain so your next adventure doesn’t require packing any extra gear.Snowshoe Rentals
Hitting The Trail
After picking up your rentals in the Fall Line Shop, you can follow this flat, snowy road to the west end of the upper parking lot. (Near the Pet Area).
The trailhead is clearly signed. Even though the arrow points to the right, you can traverse the trail either way (clockwise or counterclockwise) by following the round, orange trail markers.
These photos show the clockwise journey. When the trail is packed, one lap takes about 30 minutes. When the snow is deep and powdery, we suggest allowing an hour to do the loop.
The trail crosses Goose Lake Road twice, so be sure to look both ways and listen for approaching snowmobiles as you approach this motorized crossing.
In addition to the great cardio benefits of snowshoeing, trekkers will appreciate the peek-a-boo views of some of our favorite ski runs.
And of beautiful Goose Creek Canyon.
