Local Kids Learn to Ski for FREE Spring Break 2019

Midas Gold and Brundage Mountain are teaming up to give local kids the opportunity to Learn to Ski FOR FREE during Spring Break!

Midas Gold LogoKids ages 7-14 from Valley and Adams Counties can sign up for a full-day ski experience Monday, March 25 through Friday, March 29, 2019. This special Learn to Ski Deal is open to 30 youth per day and includes a 90 minute ski lesson, rental gear and a lift ticket for the day. It also includes a voucher for lunch at the Main Street Cafeteria. This program is sponsored by Midas Gold, so there is no charge to participants. Early sign up is suggested. Capacity is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shuttle service will be available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday with stops in Cascade, Donnelly and McCall:

Cascade School Departure: 7:30 am
Donnelly Elementary Departure: 8:00 am
Payette Lakes Middle School Departure: 8:30 am
Bus is scheduled to depart from Brundage Mountain between 3:30 pm – 3:45 pm each day.

Shuttle service will be available Wednesday with stops in Council and New Meadows:

Council School Departure: 7:30 am
Meadows Valley School Departure: 8:00 am
Bus is scheduled to depart from Brundage Mountain between 3:30 pm – 3:45 pm each day.

Those providing their own transportation will need to check in at Brundage Mountain no later than 9 am for First-timer and beginner lessons (which begin promptly at 10 am). Intermediate and advanced lesson sessions will be offered at 11:30 sharp, so those participants can pick up their rental gear and take some warm-up runs prior to lesson time.

Each child can reserve one full-day session in advance. Those wishing to participate on more than one day will be put on a waiting list for additional days and will be notified about multiple-day availability by Friday, March 22.

Level 1 – Never skied or only one time
Level 2 – Comfortable on the Bunny Hill (3-5 times skiing ever)
Level 3 – I can go to the top of the mountain but still snowplow
Level 4 – I can comfortably ski the whole mountain.

Level 1 & 2 Lessons begin at 10:00 am. Level 3 & 4 Lessons begin at 11:30 am. These kids can check in, pick up rental gear and warm up on Easy Street or the Bear Chair prior to their lesson time.
