DESCRIPTION:As part of the festivities for our Summer Grand Opening we welcome Kayleigh Jack. \nSince childhood\, Kayleigh Jack has been singing and playing classical violin\, fiddle\, guitar and mandolin for orchestras and bands that include Americana On Tour\, Stonefly Stout\, High Desert\, Buckskin Bible Revue\, Boise State University Orchestra\, Blackjack Moonshiners\, Eagle Chamber Orchestra\, Holy Apostle’s Music Ministry\, and the Buckshot Country Band. Her accomplishments include being a finalist in VH-1 Song of Year\, CMT Music City Madness\, and Lions Gate Films National Talent Search. She is also a recipient of Nashville Star Search Songwriter of the Year\, Idaho Brightest Star\, and numerous awards while representing Idaho in the Miss Teen America Pageant. Amongst Idaho musicians\, she is particularly known for a natural ability to step into any song or band for the first time and perform like a finely rehearsed pro. Her versatile voice can melt a sidewalk or rip it apart like a backhoe.

That’s the date of Brundage Mountain’s annual ‘Grand Opening’ event which features FREE CHAIRLIFT rides\, a hometown food drive\, and the first-ever SUMMER Beer & Gear Festival.  Come check out bikes and summer outdoor gear from local bike shops and taste yummy beer from Idaho breweries.  $5 for 5 tasters of beer.  Pints for $6.  Come enjoy pints of cold beverages from Salmon River Brewery\, Mad Swede\, and Meriwether Ciders.  And check out the cool new gear from Hometown Sports and Apex Bikes. \nBeer & Gear Festivities 12:00 pm-5:00 pm  We will have  Apex Bikes\,  Bell Joy Ride\, Gravity Sports\, Hometown Sports\, and Payette Children’s Forest.  On the beverage side we welcome Mad Swede Brewery\, Meriwether Cider\, and Salmon River Brewery. \nLive Music 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm  Featuring Kayleigh Jack. \nVisitors are asked to donate one can of food per lift ride\, or make a $1 donation. DESCRIPTION:Brundage is not just a winter wonderland.  Summer is also a vibrant “wonderland” of outdoor adventures.  To Celebrate the start of our summer operations we are throwing a Wonderland Lawn Party.  Immerse yourself in one of your favorite children’s classics.  Follow the White Rabbit through the 9-hole disc golf course\,  play croquet on traditional and creative croquet\, and other all ages lawn games with the Queen of hearts.  Come up to Smoky’s for lunch and enjoy our tea party themed lunch & drink specials.  Festivities run from Noon – 5:00 PM.  \nImportant note: Due to a significant snowpack remaining on the summit\, our regular mountain biking trails are not yet open. The Grand Prize is a 5-Day Select Card for next season\, valued at more than $270! \nExample Challenges:\n\nPhoto of you cooking breakfast in the Parking Lot\nCatch first chair at 9:30 am\nVideo of you adding to our bra tree\nPole whacking: 30 seconds of vigorous pole whacking at the top of any run\nFind the Brundage Gnome\, and take a photo with him\nPurchase and drink a Bloody Mary before noon\nShotgun a beverage mid-slope on Celebration\nStart and finish your beverage during Bluebird chair ride\nBonus points for skiing on Snow Blades or a Mono Ski for a portion of the day and for more outrageous costumes.\n\nWe expect to hear your Radness yells\, and ego claims all day! The full cup will exchange hands and teammate #2 will continue down the run to give the full cup to teammate #3 who will continue down to teammate #4.  Teammate #4 is responsible for getting the full cup to the finish line and setting it on the table.  The winning team needs to finish in the top 6 teams and have the most beer (or soda) in their cup at the end of the run. Be forewarned- any team to add snow\, etc. to the cup will be disqualified! Each member of the winning team will receive a $25 Brundage Gift Card. \nCostume Contest\nCelebrity judges will choose the top 3 female\, top 3 male\, and top 3 kids costumes; the crowd makes the final decision! \nPond Skimming\nContestants must be ready at the start when their name is called. The top skimmers from each round will move on. Skimmers will be judged on speed\, grace\, style and costume\, so bring your ‘A’ game if you want to make it to the next round. Participants must hike back up the hill and be ready for their next attempt. DESCRIPTION:The Brundage Demo Daze program is geared towards intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders who want to learn how to select skis based on the conditions of the day while improving their skiing in a group lesson setting. Demo skis will be included for the duration of the lesson. \nWe will be offering Demo Daze on Mondays in a 4-week session. \n4 Week session Days: March 13\, 20\, 27 and April 3. \nThe sessions will meet at 10:00 in the rental shop with group departure at 10:30 for a 90 minute group lesson.   Please check in early with the ski school desk your first session\, and head to the rental shop for ski selection after. \n4 Week session Price $110 or 1 session for $39. \nParticipants can continue to use the demo gear for the remainder of the day for an additional fee of $27.
