DESCRIPTION:Fun races at Brundage Mountain\nThe Hometown Races are back for 2019! Rally a team together. Teams of 3 skiers and/or snowboarders will compete in 2 races against other teams of similar age. Awards given out at the Apres Party with music\, fire\, raffles\, grub and more silly “carnival” competitions. This is a fundraising event for the McCall Winter Sports Club. It’s also a fun event in your backyard. Brundage Mountain will host the following 2 races. \nDual GS Races: Each team racer will ski/ride head-to-head down a slalom course against another team. Team with 2 of 3 fastest finishes wins. All skiers/riders are guaranteed at least 2 runs as this is a round-robin. \nSkiercross/Wiggle: Timed event down a course crafted by McCall Winter Sports Club All-Mountain Athletes.\nRegister on-site\, Saturday morning 9am-10am outside the ticket windows.

DESCRIPTION:  \nAges: 12-18 \nLocation: Brundage Mountain \nThis experiential\, four-day camp is perfect for the upper-intermediate to advanced skier or snowboarder who is interested in expanding their riding possibilities and venturing out of ski area boundaries. Avalanche potential exists on all uncontrolled terrain and being equipped with the basic knowledge to plan and ride safely is an essential tool for any rider to start their year with. \nDuring this course\, skiers and snowboarders are taught essential backcountry basics from trained\, experienced MWSC coaches and local professionals from Payette Powder Guides and Payette Avalanche Center. Campers will learn to assess avalanche potential\, properly use rescue equipment\, rescue a buried partner\, and travel safely in the backcountry. Most importantly\, riders learn by doing though a hands-on approach in a small group of their peers. Backcountry Bootcamp is the perfect way to kick off the start to a fun\, safe ski season! \nAdvance registration for general public now open. DESCRIPTION:Wax up those skis and boards\, because the Best Snow in Idaho will be flying full-time starting this Friday. \nFresh off a very successful ‘powder preview’ weekend on the Bear Chair and Easy Street\, Brundage Mountain is pleased to announce that it will be opening top to bottom\, for DAILY operations starting this Friday\, December 7. \nThe McCall\, Idaho ski area has received 15 inches of fresh snow this week\, a total of 30 inches since Thanksgiving. \nBrundage will kick off full-time operations with the BlueBird Express open from 9:30 to 4:30. Two full-length runs will be groomed top to bottom\, Temptation and 45th Parallel. North\, Main Street\, Alpine and Engen will be open but ungroomed. Those slopes are recommended for expert powder skiers who are comfortable riding in ungroomed\, early season conditions. \nThe Bear Chair Triple\, Easy Street Triple and Easy Rider conveyor will also be open daily from 9:30 to 4:30\, with Griz\, Badger\, Bear\, Red Fox\, Easy Street\, Tater Tot and Centennial Lane groomed out of the gate. \nAdditionally\, The Lakeview Bowl and Chair will open for ungroomed\, expert powder riding. \nSnow depths range from 22 to 27 inches across the mountain. Winter temperatures are expected this week\, with snow storms returning to the Brundage Mountain forecast starting this weekend. \n“This is our earliest full-mountain opening since 2010 and we’re stoked to deliver some early season turns to our season pass holders and the rest of our guests\,” said resort spokesperson\, April Whitney. “We expect great snow conditions once again this weekend and we really like what we see on the horizon.”

DESCRIPTION:Opening day at McCall’s Activity Barn will be twice as nice this year. The Activity Barn is ready to open for the season with TWO 800-foot tubing lanes in operation. The Activity Barn is open 10 – 6 Saturday and 10-4 on Sunday. Regular operating hours are Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays\, with extended operations planned for the holiday season. \nThe Moonrider Conveyor will be open every day from December 21 through January 6 for the winter holiday. \nLearn More\nHorse-drawn sleigh rides will also be available at the Activity Barn starting Saturday. Two beautiful Belgian quarter horses pull a 15-person sleigh across the snow-covered outskirts of McCall. Take a step back in time and enjoy views of Brundage\, No Business and Jug Handle Mountains. Sleigh rides are $35 for adults and $15 for kids 17 and under. \nSleigh Ride Info\nReservations are required for sleigh rides\, but not for snow tubing. \nSanta will be at the Activity Barn with HIS sleigh on Saturday\, December 15. Photos are available for free\, with your camera\, from noon to 2 pm. \nThe Activity Barn’s 3-mile nordic loop will open as soon as there’s enough snow on the valley floor to groom it. The dog-friendly trail is open to cross country skiers\, snowshoers and fat bike riders. 2019 Kona Wo fat bikes and snowshoes will be available for rent at the Activity Barn this winter.

DESCRIPTION:Brundage Mountain is offering three days of free skiing and riding on the Easy Street chairlift Friday\, Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. \nThe Easy Street triple chair will run from 10 am – 3 pm Friday\, November 23\, Saturday\, November 24 and Sunday\, November 25. \nSmoky’s Bar & Grill will be open from 11 – 3 all three days\, with the Fall Line Shop\, Ski + Ride School and Brundage Guest Services open from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm. \n“Our snowmaking team has taken full advantage of low temperatures so that we can open Easy Street for the season\,” said resort spokesperson\, April Whitney. “Our next goal is to open upper mountain terrain and the latest forecast shows Mother Nature is now getting on board with us.” \nView Extended Forecast\nAfter Thanksgiving weekend\, Easy Street will operate Saturdays and Sundays. With a series of storms in the forecast\, the Brundage Mountain team is optimistic that additional terrain can be added soon. \nThe Easy Street lift (and Easy Rider conveyor) are FREE to all ages\, all season long. This free access is a centerpiece of Brundage Mountain’s evolving Learn to Ski + Ride Program. SUMMARY:Tails on Trails: A Dog-Friendly Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 4th annual ‘Tails on Trails’ running event\, benefiting MCPAWS Regional Animal Shelter! This year the race will be a single 5K fun run. \nThis is a dog-friendly running event – run with or without a dog. Well-socialized and well-conditioned dogs are welcome. \nRunners without dogs must be aware of and courteous to the dogs who are participating; this is\, after all\, a benefit for MCPAWS. Dogs may run off leash during the race\, but please be aware there is wildlife in the forest you will be running through\, so if your dog does not have excellent recall\, you should use a leash. There will be water bowls for the dogs at the aid stations. \nRoute Descriptions & Registration  \nThe course is 3.2 mile loop of dirt cat track road and single track through the lower half of Brundage Mountain Resort.  The course is a fun\, scenic\, and undulating.  Dogs will enjoy two natural watering holes as the course crosses two creeks.  The first is just past the mid-way point and the second is towards the end of the course around mile 2.5.  Racers will gain a total of 549 ft. before heading back down to the base area finish line. \nRegistration is $35 for adults (over 21) and $25 for youth (under 21.) Registration includes a goody bag including a Tails on Trails long-sleeved t-shirt\, and Oktoberfest entry including event coozie and free beer (for adults.) \nRegister Today! \nRun the race\, and then head over to Oktoberfest at Alpine Village for some cold brews and delicious grub.  Both events benefit the cats and dogs at MCPAWS!

His songs and stories paint a picture of the hardships and beauty of being raised in small-town America\,to living in a shoebox apartment off Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles\, then traveling and living on the road playing 250 shows a year. Though recently making the move to Nashville TN\, Jeff continues to spend the majority of his time touring the country.
