SUMMARY:Light Up The Night: New Year's EVE Celebration!
DESCRIPTION:Light up the Night will feature a Torchlight Parade\, slope-side Fireworks Show\, and Kids Glowstick walking parade. Live music will set the vibe – dance to stay warm or hang our around the fire pits. There is plenty of room on our balconies and expansive base area to enjoy the show. The festivities and fireworks are free. Please be sure to dress for winter mountain weather conditions!  \n\n\nAglow on the Snow Parade\nKids must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.  Kids and parents will meet inside the Mountain Sport School facility of the new MAC building (enter next to the base of the Bluebird Express) to snag their foam wants and build their glow stick creations!  This year we have almost 200 LED foam wands and 2000+ glow sticks! At 5:30 the parade will be led by Bruno and they march towards Smoky’s\, and wind its way down to the viewing area for fireworks show. No signups needed. \n \n\nTorchlight & SnowCat Parade\nAdvanced skiers and snowboarders ages 16 and over are invited to participate in the torchlight parade. To register for the torchlight parade you must fill out a waiver in advance. Once a waiver has been filled out\, you will be informed that you are registered via email. Participants are required to wear goggles for eye protection from potential sparks. Clear or very light lenses are recommended.  All participants must check in at the base of the Bluebird Lift\, no later than 5:15 pm or risk not being able to participate in the parade. Space is limited so signup early. \n  \n \n\nFireworks Show\nSlope side fireworks will begin just after the finish of the Torchlight Parade\, about 6:15 pm. Thank you to Fireworks America for providing the great show! \n \n \n\nFood and Beverage\nBrundage keeps the flavors flowing with tasty bites and cold drinks until 8pm! Basecamp Coffee will be offering a selection of beer and festive warm boozy (and non-alcoholic) holiday drinks to keep the good times rolling. Main Street will be open until 8pm as a warming location. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \nBrundage Blue Line Express\nThe Brundage Blue Line Express will add 3 more loops on New Year’s Eve! \nThe Shuttle will leave the Post Office at: \n\n3:45pm\, 4:45pm\, 5:45pm\, 6:45pm\, & 7:45 pm.\n\nThe Shuttle will leave Brundage at: \n\n3:15pm\, 4:15pm\, 5:15pm\, 6:15pm\, 7:15pm & 8:15pm.

Throughout the month\, we’ll be hosting simple\, engaging activations that highlight Your Responsibility Code and encourage smart decisions on the mountain in fun\, approachable ways. \nWhether you’re a lifelong skier or it’s your first time at Brundage\, Safety Month is a great reminder that we all play a role in keeping the mountain safe and enjoyable for everyone. \n\nSafety Poster Contest: Create your own poster that demonstrates the responsibility code. The winner will be displayed at the bottom of Bluebird for the rest of the winter. As we collect them\, they will be displayed in the MAC for the month of January. Pick up your blank poster at the Guest Services desk.  \nSafety Bingo: Pick up a Safety Bingo card at Guest Services and complete it throughout the month of January by practicing safe habits on the mountain. Return a completed card to Guest Services to earn a 65th Season sticker! \nDiscounted Kid Helmets: For the month of January\, the Retail shop in the Mountain Adventure Center will offer a 20% discount of kid helmets! It’s a great time to upgrade gear and reinforce safe habits for young skiers and riders! \nLaps with Patrol: Sign up for a unique opportunity to ski with Brundage Ski Patrol and learn firsthand how they help keep the mountain safe every day. Space is limited to eight participants and advance sign up is required. Must be able to ski blue runs and feel comfortable throughout the entire mountain. Meet at the top patrol shack at 1:00 pm to have an afternoon with patrol.  \nDate: January 25 | 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm  \nRegister Here \nToboggan Rides on Easy Street: Join Ski Patrol on Easy Street for a behind the scenes look at how toboggans are used on the mountain. Take a fun ride down Easy Street while learning how Ski Patrol assists guests and helps keep everyone safe. Please note\, you must have a valid lift ticket to ride back up Easy Street Chairlift and no foot traffic is allowed. DESCRIPTION:In this competition\, three features on Jammer\, Bear\, and Roller Coaster—will be rotated throughout the event. We’ll start with Bear\, followed by Jammer\, then Roller Coaster. Each feature will have a dedicated 40-minute time slot\, during which one will be designated as the “hot feature\,” marked by wind sails. This is where the judges will be focusing on style and best trick. \nParticipants are encouraged to call out their name before dropping in to ensure they’re seen by the judges. This course drills down into the fundamentals of understanding and managing avalanche hazard and risk.  Students learn to supervise and lead teams through avalanche terrain\, make planning decisions for operational terrain use\, and analyze and communicate snow\, avalanche and weather phenomena to the US Industry standard.  This is a rigorous\, challenging and rewarding experience. \nUpon successful completion of the course as well as both written and field tests students are awarded certification recognized by the American Avalanche Association. DESCRIPTION:The Pro 1 is the first step in professional level training in a progression of courses designed for avalanche workers early in their careers or for experienced workers looking to stay current with industry standards. The course covers the fundamentals of weather\, snow\, and avalanche observation\, data collection\, and recording to the industry standard in an operational setting. Students study and utilize the basics of avalanche hazard and risk assessments\, while gaining operational practice in both the collection of data\, daily contribution hazard and risk discussion and the forecasting process. \nStudents refine terrain recognition and travel skills while gaining experience characterizing avalanche paths and avalanche occurrences. Students are given the opportunity to leverage previous experience in terrain and deepen their understanding of how snowpack and terrain interact. Instructors provide coaching\, instruction and ongoing evaluation both in the field and the classroom. Upon successful completion of a final written exam and several field exams\, students are awarded an industry standard certification recognized by the American Avalanche Association (A3).   \nRegister Here!
