Adaptive Lessons through AWeSOMe!

Adaptive Lessons through
AWESOME!

awesomepic1

Because of Covid 19, we need to require masking for all participants and instructors throughout the lessons.  We will try as much as we can to remain socially distant on the lifts and on the mountain.

The Hut is a lovely, cozy place to gather, but until the Covid 19 restrictions are lifted, we will require all participants and family members to remain outdoors.  That means – participants and parents need to be ready to get going outside and unbooting will also be done outdoors.

AWeSOME! looks forward to a healthy 2021 and beyond!!!!!

Adaptive Wilderness Sports of McCall (AWeSOMe!) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people of all abilities through high quality outdoor experiences.

AWeSOMe! works in conjunction with Brundage Mountain Resort to offer ski and snowboard lessons for people with disabilities.  The program provides specialized adaptive equipment and teaching techniques to accommodate people with disabilities.

AWeSOMe! is a PSIA member ski & ride school.  All of our instructors are volunteers, and many are PSIA certified in adaptive instruction.  Adaptive techniques include 3-track, 4-track, mono-ski, bi-ski, snowboarding, guiding skiers/boarders with visual impairments, and teaching people with cognitive and developmental disabilities.  Lessons are conducted on a personalized, one-on-one basis with specially trained instructors.  All lessons are by appointment and are subject to availability of instructors.
