Summer Chairlift Grand Opening – FREE Lift Rides!

One Day Only: Brundage Mountain is offering free scenic chairlift rides to kick off our summer season!

That means you won’t pay a dime to enjoy the beauty of Brundage Mountain.

The Blue Bird Quad will run from 10 am to 5 pm, whisking visitors to the summit for an unforgettable photo opportunity, as we still have tons of snow on the upper mountain!

In the base area, we’ll be kicking off the season with a barbecue and live music from IdahoDown headliner, Jeff Crosby, at noon and 1:30!

Due to late season snowpack none of our regular downhill biking trails will be ready for opening day.

No equipment (bikes, snowboards, skis, etc.) will be allowed on the chairlift until further notice. We will keep you posted on trail openings as they happen on our website and Facebook pages.

We WILL be featuring a Four-Cross course in the base area. (It’s like a boardercross for bikes).

Heck, with all of the snow you have, how about letting us ski down on your scenic opening day?

Thanks and I am looking forward to the 2012 season.

      Hi Dick -
We would sure love to be able to do that! Unfortunately, with the combination of inconsistent snow depths and dirt/rocks, it would be impossible for us to safely provide first aid if anyone got hurt. So for now, it will be foot traffic only!

I understand, but I think of all of that good snow “going to waste”. I will be there anyway on the 30th. I skied all during the 1970s on the ski patrol at Brundage and did not ski again until season before last. I am enjoying it more than I thought I ever would. Skiing is truly a lifetime sport.
